Executive Committee Roles

Etobicoke Ringette is a volunteer organization.  Each year elections are held for executive positions at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  Volunteer your time to help improve our Association and the experience of Etobicoke Ringette players.

Descriptions of the elected executive positions are listed below.  If you need more detail beyond what is presented below, contact a current executive team member.  

Each position has a two-year term.

President
  • Oversees the operation of the Association. 
  • Liaison between the Association and Ontario Ringette Association (ORA).
  • Executive liaison for the following Committee Leaders - Fundraising and Social.           > More about this role
Vice President, House League
  • Oversees the regular operations of the House League for all levels.
  • Provides orientation to House League convenors.  Assists convenors in resolving issues.  > More about this role
Vice President,  Rep Teams
  • Liaison between the Association and Southern Region, The City of Toronto and any leagues that our Rep Teams may play in. 
  • Oversees management of Rep Teams.
  • Fill in for the President when required.   > More about this role
Registrar
  • Register all members.
  • Send all forms to ORA according to their schedule. 
  • Maintain accurate registration records.  > More about this role
Treasurer
  • Maintain financial records for the Association.
  • Produce and report on the Association budget.
  • Pay all bills for the Association.
Secretary
  • Maintain the minutes for all meetings.
  • Deal with correspondence.
Marketing
  • To promote the Association and the sport within a budget.
Officiating
  • Schedule officials for all House League and Rep games. 
  • Evaluate new officials. 
Development Chair
  • Help to develop coaches and instructors through courses and information exchanges.
  • Executive liaison for Coaching and Player Development Committee Leaders. 
Player Representative
  • Represent the players at the executive meeting.
Tournament Chair
  • Plan and co-ordinate our tournament through committees.
Purchasing
  • Purchase new equipment within budget.
  • Maintain equipment for House League and Rep.
  • Purchase trophies and medals for the Association.
