Registration 2007-08 House League Season

Ringette … an energetic ice sport with a difference!  

  • The game is played with a bladeless stick and a rubber ring.  
  • Players wear protective equipment and sport skates.  
  • This non-contact, team sport emphasizes skating and teamwork.  
  • Five skaters and a goalie are on the ice for each team.

Etobicoke Ringette membership offers:

  • Weekly house league games or learn-to-skate sessions from mid-September to March (20 weeks).
  • Weekly house league practices emphasizing skill development and strategy starting in early October. 
    All practices are indoors.  
  • FREE power skating sessions on Tuesdays at 5 pm starting in October through December at Pine Point Arena.
  • Team sweater.
  • Individual player as well as team pictures.
  • Christmas party.
  • Year end tournament.
  • Wrap-up banquet, trophies and awards.

Lots of ice time, all indoors.

Registration:

In person at Etobicoke Centennial Park Arena:

September 5th and 10th -7:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m.
September 8th - 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

In person at 12 Eringate Rd:

August 30th 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m

Main Programs:

  • Learn-to-Skate - Suitable for ages 4 and up.
    • 2007-08 Registration Fee: $160

  • Bunny Program - Suitable for ages 4 and up that can skate. Players will receive basic instruction in Ringette skills and rules.  Focuses on skills development. Programs begin in early September and run until March.
      
    • 2007-08 Registration Fee: $160
      • First year Bunny players will receive a $160 credit towards their second year registration fees.

  • House league divisions for all age groups.  Players are assigned to teams and play games occur once a week.  Play level can be modified depending on the player's skill level.  Games begin in September, progressing toward league playoffs in March.

* House league practice on Sundays begins in October at Long Branch arena at 3:50 pm.  Attending practice sessions for additional skills development is highly recommended.
